The Myths of Ancient Greece and Rome :

Among all the per-christian races who ware sufficiently advanced to think, speak, and write about their religious beliefs the jews alone claimed to have received a direct revelation from god.Other nations deemed either fire,or wind,or astronomical signs to be governed by Gods.To these gods they gave many names and round them they wrote fables or myths. The Ancient Greeks and Romans (Later) wrote down the myths of that time.According to Greek Mythology in the beggining the earth was not full of loveliness as it is now.Eros the God of love shot life giving arrows into the earthand life began. All was now life, joy and motion.
The Greek and Roman myths have inspired poets and writers since very early times and there are many quotations that people use today without realising their scource.
